Nexus Risk Management increases commitment to Asset Management.
Nexus Risk Management announced that it is increasing its commitment to its Asset Management initiative. Patrick J. Blais was named Vice President Asset Management responsible for growing the Asset Management initiative globally. Previously, Mr. Blais was global equity portfolio manager at Canada Pension Plan Investment Board ("CPPIB"). Prior to CPPIB, he held various equity research roles culminating in lead portfolio manager for international equities at KBSH Capital Management. Mr. Blais also held the position of equity research analyst at Sun Life Financial and CIBC. He earned a Masters in Finance from the London Business School and also holds the CFA and FSA designation.
Mr. Blais will provide strategic direction to the Asset Management initiative. In Canada, Nexus Risk Management works closely with CI Investments to deliver effective asset management within a risk management framework for insurance companies and pension plans. Using sophisticated risk optimization techniques Nexus Risk Management and CI Investments ensure the risk efficiency of their clients' portfolios.
